66 Hay Island - Napoleon's Hat
Napoleon's Hat. A fixture of the St. Lawrence Seaway is offered for sale for the first time in over 40 years. The original guest house built
in 1897 and re-modelled to a modern two-level cottage flanks the world renowned Napoleon's Hat built in 1913. Featured in dozens of
publications over the century, including a feature cartoon from The New York Times, this collectible property is truly a unique experience.
Not one 90 degree angle in the main lodge exists. Each point to the hat was designed with a hexagonal room comprising the foyer, dining room and kitchen. Large windows on either side of the structure allow the cool river breeze to wash over you night and day and views of the St. Lawrence will lull you into a state of relaxation. A third boathouse is actually an additional outbuilding with a Jacob's ladder to the kid's loft and a large living/entertainment area. Outdoor showers and even a well constructed tree house sit beside your private sandy beach.
